Motion Graphics / 2D Animator

Big Blue Communications is looking for a Motion Graphics / 2D Animator to help us visualise compelling messages that the world needs to hear.

You will create short animations, tutorials, website content, and social media clips. You will work with an international team spread across Bangladesh, the UK, and US.

We are looking for people who care about human development, and who are committed to supporting the development sector.

This is a 6-month contract. Candidates must 3+ years strong, relevant experience in working with an animation team or agency. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

You will need to submit a portfolio and showreel to be considered for this role.

  • Deliver short animation films, animated tutorials, infographics, social media visuals, and edited film footage

  • Deliver to regular deadlines

  • Pitch ideas, create storyboards, and turn written messages into visuals

  • Actively participate in creative process

  • Manage files in a mix of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Final Cut or Premier

  • Work daily with our production team

Required skills and experience

  • Proven portfolio of commercial work in animation, motion effects, video editing

  • 3+ years industry experience with an animation team or agency

  • Must have proven experience working as part of a team on commercial projects

  • Ability to manage and prioritise projects effectively and to meet deadlines

  • English language fluency

  • High proficiency in a mix of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Final Cut and Premier

  • Excellent communicator and great team player

  • 40-hour working week, with an average of 8 hours per day
